Franklinmint Story Book and Nursery Rhyme 1984

Franklin mint

these dolls are only 12" tall

Little Red Riding Hood
 
Original Design by Carol Lawson
sculptured in fine bisque  porcelain hand painted
with luminous brown eyes that sparkle with excitement
she even has blush on her chubby little cheeks
Crisp white ruffles on her floral print shirt Included is a small stuffed bear
Her legs are painted to appear as though she is wearing white stockings
with black shoes. Red velvet bows accent her shoes. Her blue, green, and purple flowered
dress is trimmed in white lace with a green bodice. She is carrying a basket of fresh flowers for
Grandma. And of course, her lovely red velveteen cloak known as her riding hood.
The clothing and accessories are hand detailed.







 

Alice and Wonderland
This is a lovely Alice and Wonderland doll created in the fashion that was drawn by John Tenniel
 Design by Carol Lawson
  She has beautiful long blond hair kept back by a black velvet ribbon
Alice has painted eyes and beautiful rosy cheeks and her socks and shoes are painted on.
she is wearing a royal blue dress  accented with white lace
 she has on a white apron with red trim
Her legs and shoes are painted to appear as though she is wearing white with red striped stockings
with black mary jane shoes
She is carrying a white rabbit with movable arms and legs.

Goldie Locks
This beautiful collector doll created by Carol Lawson is an original Fairy Tale Doll Collection
exclusively from Franklin Heirloom Dolls. The head, arms and hands,
legs and feet, have been sculpted of fine bisque porcelain and her face and shoes and legs
 were painted entirely by hand.
The dress is baby pink with an apron in pink with white polka dots with a white frill
with a satin pink ribbon waist band and rosette applique
She has long blonde hair with long ringlets tied back with a blue ribbon
Her legs and shoes are painted to appear as though she is wearing white
 stockings with powder blue shoes trimmed with pink balls.
 She is carrying a stuffed bear with movable arms and legs.

Rebecca of Sunnybrook farm
based on the children's novel 1903
Rebecca's journey to Riverboro, to live with her two aunts
Rebecca is imaginative and charming.
She often composes little poems and songs to
express her feelings or to amuse her younger brothers and sisters
 It is she who named their farm "Sunnybrook".

Heidi
This beautiful collector doll created by Carol Lawson is an original Fairy Tale Doll Collection
exclusively from Franklin Heirloom Dolls. The head, arms and hands, legs and feet,
have been sculpted of fine bisque porcelain and her face and shoes and legs were painted
entirely by hand. Her legs are painted to appear as though she is wearing red stockings
with brown boots. Her blue dress is trimmed in white lace with
a red flowered apron trimmed at the bodice in red satin loops with a navy blue lace running through
with a matching navy blue scarf around her back tied at the neck
She is carrying a bouquet of flower and a rope with 2 gold bells.
 
 



 

 
Rose Red
Snow-White and Rose-Red are two sisters living with their widowed mother
Dark-haired Rose-Red is outspoken, lively and
Fair-haired Snow-White is quiet and shy
Rose Red opens the door to find a bear who is almost frozen
They let the bear spend the night in front of the fire
The bear comes back every night for the rest of winter

a mint green ribbon and a white and yellow daisy to the rear
she has a white floral dress highlighted with white and mint green sleeves
her hem is mint green trimmed with white lace
 she has a white lace collar and her dress is finished with baby pink ribbon
around her waist and sleeves
standing beside her is a stuffed white goose

 in red satin and white lace She is wearing a straw hat trimmed with red ribbon
with a red tie and belt to match she is holding a crystal from the story.

she wears a rich moiré  taffeta adorned with iridescent faux pearls and lace
her  cape is satin lined red velvet gathered and trimmed in white lace
she carries a white wicker basket trimmed with white ribbon and lace
and ripe red berries
she bears a 24kg gold hall mark

 She is dressed in a lovely calico dress brightly decorated with flowers purples, pinks, and greens
 trimmed with white lace and pink ribbons accented with faux pearl buttons
she wears a crinoline petticoat and pantaloons  trimmed with ribbons and lace
she has her own pink Tuffet that she sits on
in one hand she holds a purple bowl while her friendly purple spider sits on her shoulder
